Bethany Mota Collection: My Favourite Items!

If you know me well, you will know that I admire Bethany Mota.

Not just for her style, but for her passion and drive ; she works extremely hard and this month, she is harvesting the fruits of her labour: a brand new teen aimed clothing line at Aeropostale.
Note: before this, Aeropostale was quite unknown to me; mostly because there are no stores her in the United Kingdom.
I decided to wait out the release weekend to have a look at the collection.
Since I have followed Bethany for over three years now, I have been able to keep up to date with the "tweet-to-release" lookbook pictures posted on Twitter and Facebook, so I knew what to expect.

The collection is definitely Holiday/Christmas themed with a colour palette of black and burgundy red, made from mostly lace and wool and modelled by Bethany herself. The style is definitely laidback-girly with an edge, which to be fair is how most girls describe their style.

So, here are my favourite picks from the collection!

Solid Skater Skirt (GBP 18.57)

The first item- which is also my favourite- is a solid burgundy red velvet skater skirt. I have seen many other stores this season bring out their own variations of this ( even Primark) and they honestly all look the same in value and quality.

I have a thing for velvet this time of the year, hence why I love this so much. If I was ever to get this particular skirt though, I would probably need to wear it with tights because Bethany likes her skirts a little on the short side!

Floral Tights (GBP 7.35)

Another winter favourite of mine is dark floral print.

Once again, I have seen lots of other pairs here in the UK, but this pair is exactly the type I was looking for. The flowers aren't too big but they are roses! Most of the other tights I have seen are little clusters of flowerswhich I don't like. I would pair them with a black velvet dress and bootie style boots.

Long Sleeve Lace Bodysuit (GBP 20.12)

Lastly, the lace bodysuit, which comes in classic white ( or maybe cream?) and black. I particularly like the sheer panelling along the sleeves and in the back; a blazer and pair of dark jeans would dress the look down slightly, but with a skirt ( like the skater velvet one!) without a jacket would give it a boost.

Layered Owl Long-Strand Necklace ( GBP 6.96)

I already have animal themed pieces of jewellery, even a small delicate one with an owl; but I love this even more, even though my style is definitely beginning to be more classic. This necklace is typical Bethany and would look great with a pair of skinnies, a long jumper and combats.

Love Wrap Bracelet (GBP 4.64)

I once did a Do-it-yourself  for leather wrap bracelets with studs, since I think they are perfectly edgy without being too much. I am not at all edgy ( although I like the odd piece here and there) but this bracelet is just enough; it isn't obnoxious and cheap looking, would be a great Christmas stocking filler!

Overall, a really polished collection that I would definitely invest in !

Christmas/ Holiday Room Decor Ideas

I am a self proclaime Christmas-aholic.
It isn't an addiction that needs treating
I have been planning to decorate my studio flat since the end of October and this month I took some time for myself to do it. I am not someone who likes to spend big money on temporary decorations, so I went with a minimal, classic, simple and CHEAP approach 'Winter Wonderland' theme.
And here is what I came up with...

This is a new video on my channel, if you would like to watch the video, the link will be at the end of this post.
